Subsistence is a compact resource management game that imagines the world behind the standing stones of Neolithic Britain.
Over nine turns, players select idol cards to gain benefits from. These benefits will be additional cards to add to their tableau, or development tokens to place on their land cards- which may trigger additional benefits. After these nine turns, the game ends. Points are scored based on their idols' unique criteria and the placement of their developments. The player with the highest score wins.
Subsistence plays quickly but offers a growing depth of strategic decision-making. It will appeal to players who enjoy careful planning and progression rather than direct conflict.
